S Tier

Top tier tank, works best with Elves but really good with Rangers too. Crazy Damage too

Ghâzh Ironhide S Tier

One of the single best damaging characters in the game with 2 big AoEs, as well as a huge damage sponge.

Lord Elrond S Tier

Top tier healer, that's a legendary. Can even resurrect a dead Elf. Likely Raid Meta

A Tier

Arwen offers amazing support for your team, healing, and is very plug and play. Her passive is crazy good too, giving Nimble when you drop low.

Really good damage dealer. His retaliate every time an enemy attacks an ally with Taunt/Provoke is really strong. Stronger with Elladan, but any Taunter will help him!

Eomer could easily be higher rank, if his summon would live longer. However, he's still a decently great character under a Eowyn lead because of all the assists he does that get extra crit from her.

Éothain A Tier

Eothain is one of the best F2P tanks you can get, but a lot of his power isn't even in tanking. He gives a bunch of counters out to your team, as well as turn meter to get stuff rolling.

Gandalf the Grey A Tier

Strong support, with both Fellowship and plug-and-play

Gruhúr the Brute A Tier

Applies Expose for 2 turns reducing enemy armor, as well as Might to your team and Daze reducing enemy focus. Slow, but effective at what he does. Unfortunately, not very farmable.

Lady Éowyn A Tier

Applies Might to your team, and calls someone to assist. Really enables some great damage, and on top of that can Disable + clear a bane from your team! Great plug-and-play!

While a character you get very early on, Strider is still great. He has damage, gains armor and also inflicts burn. Crit Machine.

Blind and disable, alongside a bunch of health and tankiness. Even outside of Isengard, he's strong.

B Tier

Amazing single target damage, and being able to bypass taunt to finish off a target. Unfortunately a late game farm, but a strong character nonetheless.

Good damage for Haradrim, but unfortunately unfarmable

High damage, disable, disrupt. He's the full kit with control, damage and tankiness, plus buffs all orcs, trolls and misty mountain characters! Unfortunately, not very farmable.

Chef Krazhkà B Tier

Decent healer, but that's really it. Relies so much on Goblin synergy.

Strong healer, but missing characters to synergize with besides Kili. Also inflicts some great debuffs!

Frodo Baggins B Tier

Pure single target burst in a game where AoE is ruling atm.

A "support" who is all about applying bleeds instead. Needs Goblins to synergize with.

Fast tanky boi, but wants Goblins around him.

Halbarad B Tier

Amazingly tanky, high damage, healing and enables the full Ranger team to exist. Possible the best plug and play character in the game. Unfortunately, not very farmable.

Herendil B Tier

Nerfed in the recent patch, but really strong still. Good damage if you can get a kill (so go against Eomer and his summon!)

Strong DPS, that does some good crit damage. Also disable on a 3 turn CD is always nice

Heavy damage, but fellowship team isn't fully here to take advantage.

Single target damage. Getting his boons now thanks to the force of Elves

Amazing alongside Uglúk, but really relies on him to reach full potential. The Special 1 also requires a lot of investment to bring him online.

Merry Brandybuck B Tier

Chucking out buffs left, right and centre, Merry is amazing in full RTR.

Náremiri B Tier

Now that elves are around, Naremiri values has gone up a bunch. Her healing isn't as bad as we originally thought too. Just better than Pippin now

Nurraz would easily be higher, if he wasn't so fragile and slow. Takes til turn 3 to summon, but when he does MAN that Troll is amazing!

Needs Goblins to really pop off, but decent damage otherwise. Only decent though.

Pippin Took B Tier

Very fast, but also pretty fragile. Support who is actually a healer

Full Haradrim are good for raids but not the best, and Robel provides some great turn meter reduction for them

The second most important character in the Mordor squad. Debuffs, debuffs, debuffs. Unfortunately a little slow.

Sam Gamgee B Tier

Full RTR isn't too bad with Sam for Raids. His Nimbles help a bunch to dodge annoying attacks and last long enough for Chapter 1

REALLY wants his Mordor team, but when he has them WOW. Turn Meter out the wazoo, debuffs for days, and you get to kill one of your own teammates just to deal more damage.

The Great Goblin B Tier

The formerly Great Goblin is now just good after the 1.5 patch unfortunately. He's not anywhere close to the other large units, but is still decently strong. Just wants Goblins around more now.

Tibeb the Sage B Tier

Leader for Haradrim, who makes them all share passives. Unfortunately, not very farmable.

Tordok is probably one of the more fragile "tanks" I've ever seen, BUT is strong for his pairings with Bolg and some decent damage!

While he's technically a tank, most of his power comes from being a decent damage dealer that applies slow to all enemies!

Yeftu offers some decent single target damage alongside expose and weaken

C Tier

Alreda the Chieftain C Tier

Blind, reducing enemy turn meter, and expose? Once Alreda gets the rest of their team, they may shoot up a lot, but at the moment there isn't enough Blood Frenzy going around to make them insanely good

Unfarmable, but offers some decent support and leadership for dwarves. When they are finished, might be better.

Best Shadow healer early game, with some decent damage to go with it. A lot of his power is less in healing, more in the defensive preventing damage

Decent tank/damage, but is missing that... oomph that a full team may give him with the additional blood frenzies to really pop off.

ROCK AND STONE. Tank, with Stun. Needs more dwarves that can give her something more though.

Big boi tank, with Legolas synergy. Need to see more fellowship to see how much better he gets. Unfortunately, not very farmable.

Grimlurz C Tier

Mordor single target damage dealer. In a team that wants AoE. He does enable Shagrat Special 2 though, which is nice.

Amazing DPS in a RANGER squad, otherwise likely not worth it. Gets buffs from Halbarad, and heals him too with Stealth.

Expose on ONE enemy, dispel 2 boons off ONE enemy, 75% chance to give defensive to ONE ally, just honestly doesn't offer nearly enough to deserve a spot on anyones team. BUT he does work well with full Isengard

Only really works on Mordor, but applying concentration to them is HUGE to make sure they apply their debuffs. The Unbreakable also saves someone from Shagrat killing them, but still allows Shagrat to get his huge damage off!

Like the other Dunland characters, just needs more Blood Frenzy to pop off harder. Good single target damage though!

For some reason, has very little synergy with the rest of the Rohan squad. Good otherwise, single target DPS.

F Tier

Aeldred really only heals. Heals decently, but that's it. No bane removal, nothing. He's just weak compared to every other support/healer because of that.

A support/tank for a team that isn't released and only really synergizes with Elves. Once more elves are out MAYBE she'll be better.

Sergeant Ára F Tier

She tries to be a good support, but is fragile and doesn't offer Might or anything offensive.
